GustenAndlös What's not to love here? It's heavy, it's dirty, it's death metal that goes straight for the gut with a rusty shovel. Carcinoid is the better of the two bands but Charnel Altar doesn't fail to deliver.

The production really suits the music and so does the awesome artwork. Favorite track: Gut Rot.

The umpteenth proof that death metal isn't dead and that it's currently reliving its glory throughout all the world!

It's anchored to the roots of the genre, while bringing new influences and a breath of fresh air along the way... this is a part of current underground history.

A sick festering sound on both parts (particularly Carcinoid, while Charnel Altar goes more cave-ish) and the fucking riffs these lads can write are out of this world!

Neil Grace Astounding modern dank death/doom metal. Carcinoid come out swinging an offal laden axe 🪓 at you from the opening of track one. This thing is swampy, heavy and the Charnal Altar track is suffocating. Impossible to pick a standout as all three are heavy, well mixed and perfect death!

Kursma Carcinoid is my favourite underground death metal band out there at the moment! Favorite track: Gut Rot.

An outstanding Extreme doom death album, in the best tradition. The funerary atmosphere reminds of Evoken ('Centuries of ooze" bears striking similarities, for my delight). It is overall sharp, dark, hypnotic and unrelenting. One of those rare convincing new bands that hold proud the legacy of the biggest names. Bertrand Marchal
